Scope: This standard specifies the definitions, terms, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, packaging marks, transportation and storage of plastic shopping bags. This standard applies to films made of resin as the main raw material, and plastic shopping bags processed by bag-making processes such as heat sealing or bonding. This standard also applies to shopping bags made of composite plastics and other materials. This standard does not apply to plastic bags that are only used for packaging and not for carrying purposes, including plastic roll bags (also known as tear bags or point-break bags).
