Scope
This section applies to all equipment and devices designed in the electronic field using a modulus sequence. This part is a sub-specification determined for the mechanical structure of 25mm equipment structure to provide dimensional compatibility with the mechanical interface of related engineering applications (such as plug-ins, printed boards, components, instruments, equipment, rooms, buildings, etc.). This part applies to the coordinated dimensions and grid spacing of all cabinets, racks, subracks and boxes of various electronic equipment (such as industrial electronics, information technology, measurement and control systems, communications, etc.). The coordination dimensions of the height, width and depth of the mechanical structure are selected according to the three-dimensional grid of the same metric modulus specified in GB/T 19290.1. This part uses 25mm and 2.5mm installation grid spacing as the basis for determining the coordination size of the interface of the electronic equipment structure. This creates the best conditions for the application of computer-aided design and manufacturing (such as computer-aided planning, development, manufacturing, testing and installation, etc.). This part specifies the installation of subracks and chassis and the structural types of cabinets and racks. The coordinated size of the general interface and the frame opening size of the subrack specified in this part leave space for the installation of the plug-in. Plug-in dimensions specified in GB/T 19290.1 and determined in the detailed specification. The connector system (0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, etc. connector grid) and specific requirements are also determined in the relevant detailed specifications.
