- Scope
- This standard specifies the basic requirements for the classification, requirements, test methods and test rules of marine low-voltage complete switchgear and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as marine electrical equipment). This standard applies to marine electrical installations with rated voltage not exceeding 1000V AC, rated frequency not exceeding 60Hz and DC not exceeding 1500V. Including type-tested marine electrical installations, partially type-tested marine electrical installations and non-type-tested marine electrical installations. This standard is also applicable to marine electrical installations operating at higher frequencies, but it should meet the relevant technical requirements; for the inconsistencies between the requirements and this standard, the relevant standards should prevail.
