- This standard specifies the basic immunity requirements for public telecommunication network equipment and network terminal equipment. This standard does not apply to protection requirements for equipment. This standard specifies the minimum test level in a given environment. Specific product (family) standards will replace the corresponding content of this standard. This standard applies to all types of equipment listed below: - Telecommunications network equipment, including: switching equipment, transmission equipment, wireless equipment, power supply equipment, monitoring equipment and control equipment. - Telecommunications terminal equipment, including: wireless terminal equipment, telephones, fax machines and private switches.
