- This part specifies the transportation and storage conditions that surface mount components should meet to ensure that active or passive surface mount components can be finally produced safely and reliably (the state of the printed board can be ignored). The purpose of this section is to ensure that the surface mount component products received and stored by users can be further processed (for example: placement, soldering) without compromising their high quality and reliability. Improper transportation and storage of surface mount components can lead to their quality degradation, causing assembly problems such as poor solderability, delamination and air voids.
