- Scope
- This standard specifies the relevant terms, definitions, and test conditions for the test methods of verticality, flatness, size, density, average fiber diameter, shot content, acidity coefficient, hygroscopicity, oil content, and water absorption of mineral wool and its products. , selection of samples, test methods and test records. This standard applies to the determination of various properties of glass wool, rock wool, slag wool, aluminum silicate wool and their products. Other similar insulation materials can also be used as a reference. Among them, the water absorption of mineral wool tube and shell products should be tested by capillary penetration test, and the hygroscopicity test is only applicable to products without covering.
