This part specifies the determination of carbon content in ferrochromium and silicon-chromium alloys by infrared absorption method and gravimetric method. The infrared absorption method in this part is suitable for the determination of carbon content in ferrochromium and silicon-chromium alloy, the measurement range (mass fraction): 0.010% ~ 10.50%; the gravimetric method is suitable for the determination of carbon content in ferrochrome, the measurement range (mass fraction) ): 4.00% to 10.50%.
