Scope
This standard specifies the principle, test solution, sample, test procedure, result calculation, reproducibility and test report of the test method for the quality of galvanized coating per unit area of steel products. The galvanized layer mentioned in this standard includes pure galvanized layer, zinc-iron alloy and zinc-aluminum alloy coating (for example: zinc-5% aluminum alloy coating, 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating). This standard applies to steel products such as hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized, whose area is easy to measure. The zinc coating quality test can also be carried out on the galvanized steel sheet using the method in Appendix A.
