Scope

This standard specifies the image quality evaluation method for xerographic copies. This standard applies to the evaluation of the image quality of plain paper black and white electrostatic copier prints, as well as the image quality evaluation of corresponding consumable materials (such as: photoconductor drum, developer, etc.). The evaluation of print quality of other printing machinery can be used as a reference.
