This part specifies the materials, processes, dimensions and certain specifications for hot-dip galvanized coatings of M8-M64 steel coarse-threaded fasteners, bolts, screws and studs with property classes up to 10.9, and nuts with property classes up to 12. characteristic. Hot-dip galvanizing is not recommended for threaded fasteners with specifications smaller than M8 and (or) pitch smaller than 1.25mm. This standard is primarily intended for hot-dip galvanizing of steel threaded fasteners, but is also applicable to other steel threaded parts. The specifications given in this standard also apply to steel non-threaded parts, such as washers.
