Scope: This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks and instructions for use of special fire detectors (hereinafter referred to as detectors). This standard applies to special fire detectors installed and used in general industrial and civil buildings. Special fire detectors installed and used in other environments with special requirements shall also implement this standard, except that the special requirements are stipulated separately by relevant standards.
