Scope
This part of GB/T 9771 stipulates the geometric, optical, transmission characteristics, mechanical and environmental performance requirements of B2 type dispersion-shifted single-mode fiber, and specifies the measurement method of fiber characteristics. The zero dispersion wavelength of this type of fiber is around 1550nm, and the best working wavelength is in the 1550nm region, but some fiber design types can also support the application of coarse wavelength division multiplexing in the band from 1460nm to 1625nm. This part applies to B2 dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fibers used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment.
