Scope: This standard specifies the types and dimensions of straight shank and Morse taper shank machine reamers with blade inclination angle. This standard applies to high-speed steel machine reamers with a straight shank with an inclination angle from 5.3 mm to 20 mm in diameter and high-speed steel machine reamers with a Morse taper shank with an inclination edge with a diameter greater than 7.5 mm to 40 mm. This standard specifies metric dimensions only. This standard lists two tables, one is the preferred size and other corresponding sizes; the other is the size of the diameter segment. Tolerances are also specified for reamer length, cutting portion diameter, and shank diameter for straight shanks.
