Scope: This part of GB/T 12706 specifies the type tests and tests for accessories for extruded insulated power cables with a rated voltage of 3.6/6KV (7.2KV) to 26/35kV (40.5KV) and conforming to the requirements of 12706.2-2008 or 12706.3-2008 Require. This standard does not cover cable accessories used in special conditions, such as overhead cables, submarine cables or marine cables or accessories for hazardous environments (explosive atmospheres, fire-resistant cables, seismic conditions). Previously, approval for products covered by this standard was based on obtaining national standards and/or satisfactory operational verification. This section does not negate an existing approval, but a product that has been approved in accordance with such a previous standard or specification cannot be approved in this section unless it is specifically tested. If the accessories pass the tests, these tests need not be repeated unless there is a change in material, design or manufacturing process which may affect the operating characteristics. The test method is included in GB/T 18889-2002.
