Scope: This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks and packaging of insulating materials for live working pipes and rods. This standard is applicable to hollow insulating pipes, foam-filled insulating pipes, and solid insulating rods (special-shaped pipes and telescopic pipes are not included in this standard) used to make live working tools and equipment in power systems with a nominal voltage of 1kV and above. Insulation is made of synthetic materials.
