Scope

This part of GB/T 4214 applies to household and similar hand-held hair dryers that are powered by the mains and use air flow to work. These special requirements also apply to similar electrically powered devices such as hair stylers which use a fan to generate air flow. Helmet hair dryers are outside the scope of this standard. This section does not apply to hair care appliances with radiant heating.
