GB 13140.5-2008 Connecting devices for low-voltage circuits for household and similar purposes.Part 2:Particular requirements for twist-on connecting devices (English Version)
This chapter of GB 13140.1-2008 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB 13140 applies to twist-on connection devices for connecting two or more untreated hard and/or soft copper wires (abbreviated as TOCD, the same below) ), the connected wires should meet the requirements of GB/T 3956-1997, the cross-sectional area of the wires is from 0.5㎜ to 16㎜ (including 16㎜), and the sum of the cross-sectional areas should not exceed 35㎜. The TOCDs in this section are applicable to low-voltage circuits for household and similar purposes, the voltage of which shall not exceed 1000V (ac) and 1500V (dc). The TOCDs in this standard are designed to be operated primarily by hand, but certain TOCDs, for example those with large connecting wire cross-sectional areas, may require the use of special tools.
