Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of overload protection devices for hoisting machinery. This standard applies to overload protection devices used in bridge cranes, gantry cranes, mobile cranes, tower cranes and jib cranes (excluding floating cranes and deck cranes).
