This standard establishes the necessary criteria that should be complied with in the design of cranes in general, structure, machinery, electricity and safety, specifies design and calculation requirements and methods, and can be used as a technical basis for design analysis and evaluation. This standard applies to bridge-type cranes, jib-type cranes and cable-type cranes, but does not deal with the special issues of the design of the above-mentioned cranes. This standard can also be used as a reference for other cranes.
