- This part of GB/T 4146 lists the generic names of various chemical fibers currently industrially produced for textile and other purposes in the form of tables, and gives their main characteristics at the same time. The term "man-made fibers" generally refers to fibers obtained by processing which are distinct from naturally occurring fibrous materials.
