Scope

This standard is used to guide electrical equipment to estimate the temperature and temperature rise allowable value of its components under stable operating conditions. This standard applies to electrical connections and materials adjacent to electrical connections. This standard deals with the heating effect produced by the current passing through the connection, so there is no limit to the application of voltage. This standard applies only when referenced by the appropriate product standard. This standard includes the following content: the structure of electrical contacts and comprehensive data for the calculation of their ohmic resistance; the basic aging mechanism of contacts; the calculation of temperature rise of contacts and terminals; the maximum "allowable" temperature and temperature rise of various components; The committee specifies the general procedure to be followed for allowable temperatures and temperature rises.
