- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, inspection, testing, marking, certification and retesting of valves for fugitive media, and leakage measurement methods for valves used for fugitive media. This standard is applicable to the test procedures for the evaluation of the leakage of the valve stem (or shaft seal) and the connection of the valve body for shut-off valves and control valves whose medium will produce volatile polluting gases or dangerous gases. This standard does not apply to valve end connections, vacuum applications, corrosion and radiation applications.
