- This standard specifies the basic requirements for welding of steel, aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel and composite metal pressure vessels. This standard applies to pressure vessels welded by gas welding, electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, electroslag welding, plasma arc welding, friction welding, gas-electric vertical welding and stud welding. This standard does not apply to gas cylinders.
