Scope

1.1 Scope This standard specifies the tests to be carried out to determine the functional characteristics of the sample handling system. In addition, it also specifies the information to be provided by the manufacturer and user of the system. This standard applies to: ——Processing systems for gas or liquid samples in process analysis systems such as process control, emissions, and ambient air monitoring; ——The entire system and system components; ——Processing for power supplies, process analyzers, and sample handling Utilities and instrumentation necessary for the supply and monitoring of system components are considered part of the system as long as they are functional components of the system; - facilities for maintaining the performance of the system; - facilities for maintaining the performance of the process analyzer, which are Part of the sample handling system, not part of the process analyzer. 1.1.1 Parts out of scope This standard does not include the following parts: - General description of process analyzers (see IEC 60746: Performance representation of electrochemical analyzers). - Electrical safety requirements (see GB 4793.1). ——Safety related to explosion, poisonous and harmful aspects. - aspects related to the use of legal metrology regulations, such as air pollution. For details in this regard, follow ISO standards, such as ISO 6712. - Output signal requirements (see GB/T 3369-1989 and GB/T 3370-1989). - Influence of environmental conditions (see GB/T 2421). 1.1.2 Equipment beyond the scope This standard does not apply to: - systems for handling solid samples; - equipment used in flammable and explosive gas environments (see GB 3836.1 to 3836.13).
