- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, model compilation, structural requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, quality certification documents, marks, and packaging of gas surge tanks for urban gas transmission and distribution systems (hereinafter referred to as "gauge tanks"). , transportation and storage. This standard applies to surge tanks with an inlet pressure not greater than 4.0 MPa and an operating temperature range not exceeding -20 °C to 60 °C. This standard does not apply to underground surge tanks.
