Scope

This part of GB 14232 specifies the requirements (including performance requirements) for bag-type non-ventilated sterile plastic containers (blood bag systems) containing special components. Blood bag systems need not include all of the special components given in this section. These special components refer to: - Leukoreduction filter; - Pre-donation sampling device; - Top and bottom bag; - Platelet storage bag; - Anti-needle stick protection device. In addition to the traditional blood bag requirements specified in GB 14232.1, this part of GB 14232 also specifies additional requirements for multiple blood bag systems. This part of GB 14232 does not include automatic blood collection systems. Unless otherwise specified, all tests specified in this part of GB 14232 apply to plastic blood bags in the state of use. When applicable, use the chemical, physical and biological tests specified in GB 14232.1.
