Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for sprinkler heads of automatic sprinkler systems. This standard is applicable to the vertical type, pendant type, ordinary type, side wall type, ceiling type sprinkler head and dry type pendant type sprinkler head of automatic sprinkler system. This standard does not apply to water mist nozzles and water curtain heads in automatic sprinkler systems.
