Scope

This standard applies to DC fixed capacitors with a rated voltage not exceeding 6300V. This type of capacitor uses polyethylene terephthalate film as the medium and thin metal foil as the electrode. For capacitors with a rated voltage exceeding 1000 V, supplementary tests and requirements may be specified in the detail specification.
