Scope

This standard specifies the non-flex hose impulse test for rubber or plastic hydraulic hose assemblies at high and low pressures. The high pressure test pressure is greater than 3 MPa, and the low pressure test pressure is between 1.5 MPa and 3 MPa. This standard applies to hydraulic hose assemblies that are subject to impulse pressure in service, including work-in-process requirements.
