- This standard specifies the methods for the determination of free amino acids in plants, including two methods: automatic amino acid analyzer method (first method) and high performance liquid chromatography (second method). This standard applies to the determination of free amino acids in tea, Chinese herbal medicines, tobacco leaves and other plant samples.
