This part of GB/T 6324 stipulates the principle of expressing the color of clear liquids with X, Y, Z (tristimulus values) established by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) in 1931, and measuring the color (expressed in platinum-cobalt chromaticity) instrumental methods. This part is applicable to the determination of the nominal platinum-cobalt color number of 0 to 100, clear and non-turbid liquid organic chemical products, and the sample has similar light absorption characteristics to the platinum-cobalt solution and has no fluorescence emission.
