Scope

This standard specifies the power consumption limits and test methods for household electric irons with a working voltage not exceeding 250V and a rated power not exceeding 1200W. This standard applies to ordinary household electric irons (including switches), temperature-adjusting and constant-temperature electric irons, and spray steam electric irons. The safety and performance requirements of electric irons applicable to this standard shall comply with the provisions of GB4706.2-86 "Special Requirements for Safety Electric Irons for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances" and GB1015488 "Electric Irons".
