This part of NB/T 47013 specifies the method and quality classification requirements for ultrasonic testing using time-of-flight diffraction (hereinafter referred to as "TOFD") for pressure-bearing equipment. This section applies to welded joints that meet the following conditions: a) The material is low carbon steel or low alloy steel; b) Butt joints with full penetration structure; c) The nominal thickness of the workpiece t: 12mm≤t≤400mm (excluding Weld reinforcement, when the nominal thickness of the base metal on both sides of the weld is different, the nominal thickness value of the thin side shall be taken). For pressure-bearing equipment with a base material (made of low carbon steel or low alloy steel) with a nominal thickness greater than or equal to 12mm, stainless steel-steel composite plates, titanium-steel composite plates, aluminum-steel composite plates and nickel-steel composite plates are available from TOFD inspection of base material butt joints from the base material side can also be used in accordance with this section; if TOFD inspection of base material butt joints from the cladding side is carried out, this section can also be used, but the areas through which the ultrasonic sound beam may pass should first be inspected. The area shall be tested with a straight probe in accordance with the provis ons of NB/T 47013.3, and there shall be no unbonded parts with an equivalent diameter of a flat-bottomed hole greater than or equal to φ2mm. For pressure-bearing equipment whose base material (material is low carbon steel or low alloy steel) with a nominal thickness greater than or equal to 12mm, use austenitic stainless steel, nickel alloy and other surfacing layer pressure-bearing equipment, butt jointing of the base material from the base material side TOFD inspection of joints can be used with reference to this section. For supports and structural parts related to pressure-bearing equipment, you can refer to this section; for other fine-grained is tropic and sound-attenuating metal materials, you can also refer to this section, but the changes in acoustic characteris ics should be considered; for insertion Type take-over corner joints can be used as a reference when meeting the testing conditions required by this section. When the nominal thickness of the base metal on both sides of the welded joint is not equal, please refer to Appendix A for testing.
