Scope

This standard specifies the materials, technical requirements, acceptance rules, packaging, storage and transportation of copper core and aluminum core plastic insulated power cables with a rated voltage of 35kV and below. This standard applies to power cables with copper core or aluminum core polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene insulated and plastic sheathed with an AC rated voltage of 35kV and below. This standard must be used together with GB12706.2, GB12706.3, etc. The rated voltage of the cable should be suitable for the operating conditions of the system using the cable, represented by U0/U (Um), which are all effective values, and the unit is kV. U0--the rated power frequency voltage between the cable design conductor and the shielding or metal sheath; U--the rated power frequency voltage between the cable design conductors; Um--the highest voltage of the equipment (the highest voltage of the system using the equipment maximum value). The rated voltage of the cables used in the three-phase system is specified in Table 1.
