Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage requirements of disposable plastic blood bags (hereinafter referred to as blood bags). This standard is applicable to blood bags mainly made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticized with bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP).
