- Scope
- This standard specifies the method of taking bulk samples from the whole batch of synthetic staple fibers packaged into pieces to obtain representative laboratory samples and laboratory test samples required for physical and chemical properties and moisture regain tests. This standard applies to polyester (polyester), polyamide (nylon), polyacrylonitrile (acrylic), polypropylene (polypropylene), polyvinyl formal (vinylon) and other synthetic staple fibers. All acceptance and arbitration inspections shall be sampled according to the provisions of this standard.
