1 Scope This document provides requirements and recommendations for measuring the electricity consumption of small-format and wide-format digital production presses printing in different modes of operation. It is intended for use on equipment that has been declared by the manufacturer to be suitable for use as a digital production printing press. This document provides a means to compare the energy efficiency figures according to two or more characteristic machine combinations : Best Quality (BQ), Best Productivity (BP) or other combinations. This document is not suitable for determining the power consumption of individual device components such as servos, fans, compressors, control boards and so on. It excludes digital presses designed to print textiles intended for clothing or machines, which similarly depend on additional processes to produce the printed product, such as ceramics.

This part of ISO/IEC 29142 establishes the product and package labelling, and related reporting provisions for toner and ink cartridges used in printing devices that have a digital input printing path, including multi-function devices. This part of ISO/IEC 29142 is intended for equipment used in office environments. This part of ISO/IEC 29142 defines the information requirements for the cartridge characterization documentation on packaging and cartridges, and in reports. The labels, notifications, and reports established herein are specified in accordance with the terms, symbols, notations and framework of ISO/IEC 29142-1. The cartridge characterization tests that determine the test report information of the labels, notifications, and reports established herein are standardized or specified in parts of the ISO/IEC 29142 series.

This material includes strategy documents, user requirements, and enterprise architecture artifacts. At this stage, an initial list of pain-points or strategic goals is determined. Once this is done the scope and structure of the SOA roadmap and transformation can be determined. The dimensions and domains in the OSIMM may be used to assist the definition of the scope.

This International Standard lays down a method of attaching an offset plate to a duplicating machine by specifying for the plate the diameter and spacing of the holes, and the tolerances on their position. Offset plates, for example straight edge, attached by different means are not covered by this International Standard. By specifying the set of holes necessary to attach offset plates to the duplicator, both single edge — known as “trailing edge plates" — and double edge punched plates are brought within the scope of this International Standard. The dimensions given apply to offset plates made of any material, for example metal, paper, plastics. The overall dimensions, and therefore the number of holes in offset plates, have not been specified since these depend not only on the size of machine but on such factors as the number of copies to be run from a plate and the definition of the image required.
