This European Standard covers the evaluation of conformity and the factory production control of coated glass for use in buildings. NOTE For glass products with electrical wiring or connections for, e.g. alarm or heating purposes, other directives, e.g. Low Voltage Directive, may apply.
Glass in building - Coated glass - Part 4: Product standard
ISO 16293-5:2016 specifies dimensional and minimum quality requirements (in respect of visual and pattern faults) for patterned glass, as defined in ISO 16293‑1, for use in building. ISO 16293-5:2016 applies only to patterned glass supplied in rectangular panes, in stock sizes and in final cut sizes.
Glass in building — Basic soda lime silicate glass products — Part 5: Patterned glass
This document describes the routine factory production control, the periodic testing and inspection and test methods to verify that an insulating glass unit (IGU) conforms to the system description.
Glass in building - Insulating glass units - Part 6: Factory production control and periodic tests
This document describes the test method for the determination of moisture penetration index and specifies the requirements for limit values for insulating glass units made a) in accordance with EN 1279 1:2018 and manufactured to EN 1279 6:2018; or b) for the purpose to demonstrate that components (e.g. edge seals or spacers) will allow the insulating glass unit to conform to the requirements given in EN 1279 1:2018, Clause 6.
Glass in building - Insulating glass units - Part 2: Long term test method and requirements for moisture penetration
This document specifies the requirements and describes the test methods for edge seal components and inserts. This includes the identification, the determination of physical attributes and the evaluation of characteristics for use in substitution rules in accordance with EN 1279 1:2018. For the purpose to demonstrate that edge seal components will allow the insulating glass unit to conform to the requirements given in EN 1279 1:2018, Clause 6, EN 1279 2:2018 and EN 1279 3:2018 also apply.
Glass in Building - Insulating Glass Units – Part 4: Methods of test for the physical attributes of edge seal components and inserts
ISO 16293-4:2016 specifies dimensional and minimum quality requirements (in respect of visual, pattern and wire faults) for wired patterned glass, as defined in ISO 16293‑1, for use in building. ISO 16293-4:2016 applies only to wired patterned glass supplied in rectangular panes, in stock sizes and in final cut sizes.
Glass in building — Basic soda lime silicate glass products — Part 4: Wired patterned glass
This European Standard describes the test method for the determination of gas leakage rate and specifies the requirements for limit values for gas leakage rate and gas concentration for gas filled insulating glass units made a) in accordance with EN 1279 1:2018 and manufactured to EN 1279 6:2018, or b) for the purpose to demonstrate that components (e.g. edge seals or spacers) will allow the insulating glass unit to conform to the requirements given in EN 1279 1:2018, Clause 6.
Glass in building - Insulating glass units - Part 3: Long term test method and requirements for gas leakage rate and for gas concentration tolerances
ISO 1288-4:2016 specifies a method for determining the bending strength (defined as the profile bending strength) of wired or unwired channel shaped glass for use in buildings. The limitations of this part of ISO 1288 are described in ISO 1288‑1.
Glass in building — Determination of the bending strength of glass — Part 4: Testing of channel shaped glass
ISO 1288-5:2016 specifies a method for determining the comparative bending strength of glass for use in buildings, excluding the effects of the edges. See ISO 1288‑1, 5.1.4 for an explanation as to why this test method should only be used for comparing the strength of types of glass and not for assessing strength for design purposes. The limitations of this part of ISO 1288 are described in ISO 1288‑1. ISO 1288‑1 should be read in conjunction with this part of ISO 1288. This test method is not suitable for patterned glass.
Glass in building — Determination of the bending strength of glass — Part 5: Coaxial double ring test on flat specimens with small test surface areas
ISO 1288-3:2016 specifies a method for determining the bending strength, including the effects of the edges, of flat glass for use in building. The method specified can also be used to determine the bending strength of the edges of glass separately. The limitations of this part of ISO 1288 are described in ISO 1288‑1.
Glass in building — Determination of the bending strength of glass — Part 3: Test with specimen supported at two points (four point bending)
ISO 1288-2:2016 specifies a method for determining the bending strength of glass for use in buildings, excluding the effects of the edges. The limitations of this part of ISO 1288 are described in ISO 1288‑1.
Glass in building — Determination of the bending strength of glass — Part 2: Coaxial double-ring test on flat specimens with large test surface areas
