1.1 This specification covers the compositional and performance requirements for water used as mixing water in hydraulic cement concrete. It defines sources of water and provides requirements and testing frequencies for qualifying individual or combined water sources. In any case where the requirements of the purchaser differ from these in this specification, the purchaser’s specification shall govern. 1.2 This specification does not purport to cover methods of storage, transportation, or blending of water, or to address the development and maintenance of quality control programs sponsored or managed by the manufacturer. 1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. 1.1 This test method is suitable for both field and laboratory use to obtain a permanent record of concrete surface profile using replica putty and to determine the depth of that surface profile. NOTE 1—The procedure in this standard was developed for concrete substrates but may be appropriate for other rigid substrates. 1.2 A profile can be imparted to concrete by various methods such as blast cleaning and acid etching. The depth of the surface profile has been shown to be a factor in coating adhesion and performance. 1.3 The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) provides a means of visually judging a concrete surface by use of ten different visual comparators called Concrete Surface Profiles (CSP). This standard compliments the use of these visual comparators. 1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. 1.1 This specification covers glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars, provided in cut lengths and bent shapes and having an external surface enhancement for concrete reinforcement. Bars covered by this specification shall meet the requirements for geometric, material, mechanical, and physical properties described herein. 1.2 Bars produced according to this standard are qualified using the test methods and must meet the requirements given by Table 1. Quality control and certification of production lots of bars are completed using the test methods and must meet the requirements given in Table 2. 1.3 The text of this specification references notes and footnotes which provide explanatory material. These notes and footnotes (excluding those in tables) shall not be considered as requirements of the specification. 1.4 The following FRP materials are not covered by this specification: 1.4.1 Bars made of more than one load-bearing fiber type (that is, hybrid FRP). 1.4.2 Bars having no external surface enhancement (that is, plain or smooth bars, or dowels). 1.4.3 Bars with geometries other than solid, round cross sections. 1.4.4 Pre-manufactured grids and gratings made with FRP Materials. Dowels and Pre-manufactured grids made with GFRP materials are included in this specification. 1.5 This specification is applicable for either SI (as Specification D7957M) or inch-pound units (as Specification D7957). 1.6 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded as standard. This document provides a guideline for the selection of a proper grout material to repair water leakage through cracks and other deformities in concrete structures. The factors relevant to the quality control of maintenance and repair of water-leakage cracks are as the following; a) conditions of water-leakage cracks; b) performance requirements for repair materials; c) different types of repair materials (grouts); d) procedures followed to select the appropriate repair materials; e) execution of different types of repair methods; f) performance assessments of applied materials and methods; g) data collection. This document does not include any details on the repair of dry cracks and the causes of cracks. The details on dry crack repair are covered in ISO 16311-4. A flow chart for maintenance of water-leakage cracks is shown in Figure 1.

This document refers to connections in precast frame systems, either for single-storey or multi-storey buildings. The connections for all orders of joints are considered. Large wall panel and three-dimensional cell systems are not considered. According to the position in the overall construction and of the consequent different structural functions, the seven following orders of joints are considered: a) mutual joints between floor or roof elements (floor-to-floor) that, in the seismic behaviour of the structural system, concern the diaphragm action of the floor; b) joints between floor or roof elements and supporting beams (floor-to-beam) that give the peripheral constraints to the floor diaphragm in its seismic behaviour; c) joints between beam and column (beam-to-column) that ensure in any direction the required degree of restraint in the frame system; d) joints between column segments (column-to-column) used for multi-storey buildings usually for dual wall braced systems; e) joints between column and foundation (column-to-foundation), able to ensure in any plane a fixed full support of the column; f) fastenings of cladding panels to the structure (panel-to-structure) that ensure the stability of the panels under the high forces or the large drifts expected under seismic action; g) joints between adjacent cladding panels (panel-to-panel) possibly used to increase the stiffness of the peripheral wall system and provide an additional source of energy dissipation. Simple bearings working by gravity load friction are not considered. Sliding and elastic deformable supporting devices neither, being all these types of connections not suitable for the transmission of seismic actions. The document provides formulae for the strength design of a large number of joint typologies.
