(a) Permanently installed overhead and gantry cranes. (a) When using employer procedures instead of manufacturer procedures for assembly/disassembly, the employer must ensure that the procedures:

Part of the equipment, load line, or load (including rigging and lifting ac-cessories) is closer than the minimum approach distance under Table A of § 1926.1408 to an energized power line is prohibited, except where the employer demonstrates that all of the following requirements are met:

(a) Safety nets shall be provided when workplaces are more than 25 feet above the ground or water surface, or other surfaces where the use of ladders, scaffolds, catch platforms, temporary floors, safety lines, or safety belts is impractical.

(a) The employer must ensure that, prior to operating any equipment cov-ered under subpart CC, the person is operating the equipment during a training period in accordance with paragraph (f) of this section, or the op-erator is qualified or certified to oper-ate the equipment in accordance with the following:
