This document specifies the types of environmental performance evaluation (EPE) data, including their attributes, which can be used for evaluating the environmental performance of manufacturing systems based on the general principles described in ISO 20140-1. It also provides recommendations for mapping the EPE data on to information models specified by IEC 62264. This document applies to discrete, batch and continuous manufacturing. This document is applicable to entire manufacturing facilities and to parts of a manufacturing facility. This document specifically excludes from its scope the syntax of the data and information models, the protocols to exchange data models, the functions that can be enabled by data models, and the activities in Level 1 and Level 2. The scope of this document also includes indicating the differences among various data and information models and the differences among various representations of environmental performance by actual data. This document refers to the semantics of the structured data and information models used by communication protocols. The semantics explain the meaning of the attributes and of the context information. The following are outside the scope of this document: — product life cycle assessment; — EPE data that are specific to a particular industry sector, manufacturer or machinery; — acquisition of data; — the activity of data communication.

This part of IEC 62832, which is a Technical Specification, defines the general principles of the Digital Factory framework (DF framework), which is a set of model elements (DF reference model) and rules for modelling production systems. This DF framework defines: a model of production system assets; a model of relationships between different production system assets; the flow of information about production system assets. The DF framework does not cover representation of building construction, input resources (such as raw production material, assembly parts), consumables, work pieces in process, nor end products. It applies to the three types of production processes (continuous control, batch control or discrete control) in any industrial sector (for example aeronautic industries, automotive, chemicals, wood). NOTE 1 This document does not provide an application scenario for descriptions based on ISO 15926, because ISO 15926 uses a different methodology for describing production systems. NOTE 2 In order to support oil and gas production systems, other methodologies for describing the assets can be used (for example based on ISO 22745 or ISO 13584-42). The representation of a production system according to this document is managed throughout all phases of the production system life cycle (for example design, construction, operation or maintenance). The requirements and specification of software tools supporting the DF framework are out of scope of this document.

This part of IEC 61987 provides: a characterisation of industrial process measuring equipment (device type dictionary) for integration in the Common Data Dictionary (CDD), and; generic structures for operating lists of properties (OLOP) and device lists of properties (DLOP) of measuring equipment in conformance with IEC 61987-10. The generic structures for the OLOP and DLOP contain the most important blocks for process measuring equipment. Blocks pertaining to a specific equipment type will be described in the corresponding part of the IEC 61987 standard series. Similarly, equipment properties are not part of IEC 61987-11. For instance, the OLOP and DLOP for flow transmitters with blocks and properties are to be found in IEC 61987-12.

This part of IEC 61987 provides operating list of properties (OLOP) for the description of the operating parameters and the collection of requirements for level measuring equipment, and; device lists of properties (DLOPs) for the description of a range of level measuring equipment types. The structures of the OLOP and the DLOPs correspond to the general structures defined in IEC 61987-11 and agree with the fundamentals for the construction of LOPs defined in IEC 61987-10. Aspects other than the OLOP, needed in different electronic data exchange processes described in IEC 61987-10, will be published in IEC 61987-921. The locations of the libraries of properties and of blocks used in the LOPs concerned are listed in the Annexes C and D.
