This document defines the requirements for heavy-duty polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lined, para-aramid reinforced, hose assembly suitable for use in 275 °F, 3000 psi aircraft systems where rapid rate pulsing and torsional/longitudinal flexing may occur in addition to normal hydraulic system loading. Size -16 and -20 are limited to +225 °F service.

Fitting, Adapter, External Thread Flareless to Integral Weld Ring 3000 psi
Aerospace fluid systems - Elastomer seals - Storage and shelf life
Covers the requirements for the materials, dimensions, construction, strength, finish, packing and marking of worm-drive type hose clips for use in aircraft and for general purposes. Sections on sampling and methods of test are included.
General purpose and aircraft hose clips (Worm-drive Type)
This specification covers an aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of mechanical tubing. This tubing has been used typically for parts, 0.75 inch (19 mm) and under in section thickness at time of heat treatment, requiring a through-hardening steel capable of developing hardness as high as 40 HRC when properly hardened and tempered and for parts of greater thickness but requiring proportionately lower hardness, but usage is not limited to such applications.
Steel Tubing, Mechanical, 0.95Cr 0.20Mo (0.33-0.38C) (SAE 4135)
The purpose of this standard is to define the characteristics of the fluid fittings, flanged, 90° elbowed, sealing by O-ring, for 0,8 mm thick tubes.

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) defines the requirements for a threaded flexible coupling assembly, which utilizes ferrules or machined tube end fittings to join tubing and components in aircraft fuel and fuel vent or other systems. This coupling assembly is designed for use from -65 to +200 °F and at 125 psig peak working pressure, and the coupling assembly may be used in other fluid systems when requirements are within the limits.

SAE J 1273 provides guidelines for selection, routing, fabrication, installation, replacement, maintenance, and storage of hose and hose assemblies for hydraulic fluid-power systems. Many of these SAE Recommended Practices also may be suitable for other hoses and systems.
Recommended Practices for Hydraulic Hose Assemblies
Hose Assembly, Polytetrafluoroethylene, Para Aramid Reinforced, 275°F, 3000 PSI, Flareless, Titanium Fittings, Straight to Straight
Fitting Assembly, Tee, Female Flareless and Axially Swaged on the Run, Axially Swaged on the Branch, Hydraulic, 3000 PSI
Fitting Assembly, Elbow, 90°, Flareless and Short Flareless, Reducer, Retained Nut
Fitting Assembly, Elbow, 45°, Flareless and Short Flareless, Reducer, Retained Nut
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements and procedures for impulse testing of hose, tubing, and fitting assemblies for use in aerospace hydraulic systems of 8000 psi nominal operating pressure or less. It also refers to standard impulse test equipment to be used in conducting these impulse tests.

This Aerospace Standard specifies the inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances, and size identification codes (dash numbers) for O-rings used in sealing applications and for straight thread tube fitting boss gaskets. The dimensions and tolerances specified in this standard are suitable for any elastomeric material provided that suitable tooling is available. This standard is intended to be used in the preparation of Company, Military, or other Standard Drawings for O-Rings. Each dash number, which should be appended to an appropriate Drawing or Standard number, identifies one nominal size O-Ring only. No attempt is made in this AS to indicate which of the O-Ring sizes listed under this system should be included in any particular Standard Drawing. Its only purpose is to standardize O-Ring sizes and dimensional tolerances and the means of identifying them dimensionally.
