It presumes access to the machine from all directions at floor level and addresses both normal operation and unexpected or unintended starting. 1.3 This standard applies to the ancillary devices which form an integral part of the machine. Where such devices are not an integral part of the machine, the designer, manufacturer or supplier of the installation should take into account their intended use, and should make provision for the safe linking of such devices with the machine. 1.4 This standard applies to (metal) sawing machines which are manufactured after the date of publication by CEN of this standard.
