Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, ratings, design and structure, type test, factory test and other technical requirements for 3.6kV~40.5kV AC metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment. This standard applies to factory-assembled AC metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment with a rated voltage of 3.6kV~40.5kV, installed indoors or outdoors, and with a frequency of 50 Hz or below. Open elements, and may be filled with insulating and / or breaking fluid (liquid or gas). Note 1: This standard is mainly for three-phase systems, but can also be used for single-phase or two-phase systems. According to the following points, this standard divides metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear into several categories: --- When maintaining switchgear and controlgear, the continuity of network operation; ---The need and convenience of equipment maintenance. Note 2: The safety of equipment depends on the design, manufacture, use, adjustment, coordination, installation and operation of the product. For metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear with gas-filled compartments, this standard applies when the design pressure does not exceed 0.3 MPa (relative pressure). Note 3: Inflatable compartments whose design pressure exceeds 0.3 MPa (relative pressure) should be designed and tested according to GB/T 7674. Metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment for special purposes, such as places with flammable gases, mines or ships, may need to increase the corresponding technical requirements. Components installed in metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear shall be designed and tested in accordance with the provisions of their respective standards. Considering the installation of each component in the complete switchgear and controlgear, this standard supplements the standard for individual components. This standard does not exclude the use of other equipment in the same enclosure, in which case it is necessary to consider the impact of the equipment on the complete set of switchgear and controlgear.
