Scope: This part of GB/T 1408 proposes a test method for measuring the short-term electric strength of solid insulating materials at power frequency (ie 48 Hz~62 Hz). This standard specifies the use of liquids and gases as impregnating agents or surrounding media for testing solid insulating materials, but does not apply to liquid and gas tests.
