- This standard specifies the composition, basic parameters, marks, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of offshore platform drilling heave compensation winches (hereinafter referred to as drilling compensation winches). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of compensation winches for drilling. Compensation winches for other purposes can be used as a reference.
