Scope
This part of GB/T 39560 specifies the strategies for sampling and mechanical sample preparation from electrical and electronic products, electronic assemblies and components. These samples can be used in the detection methods specified in other parts of GB/T39560 for the analysis and testing of the content of certain substances. Substance restrictions vary by region and time. This section describes a general procedure for obtaining and preparing samples prior to the determination of a substance of interest. This section does not provide the following: --- Detailed guidance for each product that can be classified as electrical and electronic equipment. Due to the wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment with different structures and processes, and the continuous innovation of the industry, it is not realistic to try to provide the disassembly process of all kinds of electronic components. --- Guidance for collecting additional information on certain substances in products by other means, even if the information collected according to the guidance is relevant to the sampling strategy of this part. ——Safe disassembly instructions and mechanical disassembly instructions for electrical and electronic products (e.g. mercury-containing switches) and recycling industries [e.g. how to dispose of cathode ray tubes (CRT) or batteries for safe removal]. For dismantling and mechanical sample preparation of mercury-containing fluorescent lamps, see IEC62554. - Definition of a "unit" as a sample. [2]
