- This part of GB/T 19710 extends existing geographic information metadata standards by defining the necessary framework for describing imagery and grid data. Information is provided on the characteristics of the measuring instruments used to acquire the data, the geometric nature of the measuring process of the instruments, and the production process of the digitized raw data. Describes the metadata needed in the process of deriving geographic information from raw data, including the characteristics, processing methods, and calculations of the measurement system during production. The international standard Metadata for Geographic Information (ISO 19115:2003) has specified metadata for generic coverage data.
