Scope

This standard specifies the order content, dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of carbon structural steel and low alloy structural steel hot-rolled steel sheets and strips. This standard applies to hot-rolled steel sheets and strips of carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel with a thickness not greater than 400 mm (hereinafter referred to as steel sheets and strips).
