Scope

This standard specifies the Charpy pendulum impact test method for determining the absorbed energy of impact specimens (V-shaped, U-shaped notched and unnotched specimens) in the impact test of metallic materials. This standard applies to the Charpy pendulum impact test at room temperature, high temperature or low temperature, but does not include the instrumented impact test method. For this part, refer to GB/T 19748.
